Cognism scores again!

5 December 2018, 6:45pm

We were thrilled to see that Cognism, one of our current portfolio companies, has won Startup of the Year 2018 at Startup Funding Club’s Alumni Event.

Cognism is a brilliant new SaaS (Software as a Service) lead generation company which can supercharge a business’s CRM data. Its unique software increases a company’s ability to engage with customers, sources more prospects, helps close more deals, and helps businesses make better cold calls.

Startup Funding Club were an early supporter of Cognism and we are just completing a further investment round through our SFC EIS Growth Fund. Our Fund has been set up to capitalise on the early stage investment market by investing in companies in their “growth” phase, i.e. businesses which have recently come out of the start-up phase and are demonstrating significant commercial traction and fast growth, with potential for future capital appreciation. Cognism is a perfect example of a such a scale up business, with the current funding round being transacted at a significant uplift to the original share price.

The multi-award winning Startup Funding Club have been involved in selecting great start-ups on behalf of their investors over the last 6 years. During that time they have facilitated investment into over 150 new vibrant companies across many sectors.
