The team at Kin Capital have individually helped raise more than half a billion over the last decade for a variety of different companies and investment funds, including some of the best known names in the industry. The founders have a combined 24+ years experience in the venture capital and tax efficient industries.

Sherine Ashraf

Having previously held positions with St James’s Place and Brooks Wealth Management, Sherine joined the team as an Associate. She is a graduate of Aston Business School and a member of the CFA Society of the UK having successfully completed Unit 1 of the Investment Management Certificate.

Lucy McDowell

Work on social media, newsletters, marketing strategy and investor services. Her experience as a marketeer and administrator was gained in the art world and from running her own online retail business.

Katherine Norris

Katherine assists on regulatory compliance matters. Her background in finance, fund administration & accounting and financial services regulation spans over 16 years.

Tom Hopkins

Tom has over 12 years venture capital experience across front, middle and back office functions. Prior to co-founding Kin, he spent the six years as a partner at MMC Ventures, and prior to that Active Private Equity. Tom is a chartered accountant and holds a MBA from INSEAD.

Richard Hoskins

Richard has over 12 years experience raising money for and structuring tax efficient investment funds. Prior to co-founding Kin, he spent four years as a partner at RAM Capital and before that Oxford Capital and Noble Group. He is a member of the global CFA Institute and UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute.

Hannah Sharp

Hannah joined the Kin team as Investor Services Associate in 2016. Hannah graduated from Leeds University where she received a 2:1 studying law and has successfully completed the first exam towards attaining the Investment Operations Certificate.

Mark Stephens

Mark focuses on business development and educating financial intermediaries about Kin’s range of products. He has over 10 years experience in financial services and in more recent years has been heavily focused in the ‘tax-efficient’ space. He is currently studying towards the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning.
